After the recent Amython of TV movies and talk shows about the Amy Fisher case, one might suppose the nation's teenage girls are a target market mainly for hand guns, beepers and auto-repair gift certificates. (One might also have begun to wonder how long it will take before some entrepreneur unveils a 24-hour AmyVision cable network.) In fact, a report from the Centers for Disease Control indicates that American teenagers have become slightly more moderate in their sexual behavior. Between 1989 and 1990, the number of high school students who say they've had four or more sexual partners during their lifetime declined from 24% to 19%; those reporting two or more partners declined from 40% to 35%; and the number who say they've ever had sex fell from 59% to 54%.
