DETROIT - Former TraverRohrback creative director Joe Clipner has joined Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Hanon McKendry in the newly created position of executive creative director.
During his six years at TraverRohrback, Kalamazoo, Mich., Clipner worked on campaigns for clients including Archway Cookies and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
"He was heavily recruited by firms in Chicago and North Carolina, but came here for the quality of life and the quality of our work," said Bill McKendry, the agency's founder and chief creative officer.
Hanon McKendry was founded five years ago by creatives, and its client roster is 40 percent nonprofit firms. "These guys would like to win One Show Gold - and the Nobel Peace Prize," Clipner said. - Tanya Irwin
