BATON ROUGE, LA.–Twelve agencies had given notice last week of their intentions to bid for the Louisiana Lottery Corp.’s $6.1 million advertising account.





Bauerlein Advertising, the incumbent in New Orleans, will defend the account, which for the first time is split between media and creative. Bauerlein has held the account–awarded on a three-year basis–since the lottery’s inception in 1991.





Others notifying the lottery in writing of their plans to participate were: Lord Fernandez, Fitzgerald Advertising, McCann-Erickson, Montgomery Stire and Pro Motion Creative Media Solutions, all of New Orleans; Calzone & Associates, The Graham Group and Sides & Associates, all of Lafayette, La.;
