Euro RSCG Retail Curries Customer Loyalty

DALLAS Euro RSCG Retail is launching a customer loyalty unit to improve consumer retention and incremental income for its clients, the agency said.

Leading the new unit will be Craig J. Staley, who joins Euro RSCG Retail as vice president and director of database marketing, the agency said. Staley will develop integrated loyalty programs, according to the shop.

"Craig has a proven success in leveraging state-of-the-industry database marketing technologies and techniques on behalf of some of the world's leading brands," said Pat Furey, president of Euro RSCG Retail. "This talent combined with Euro RSCG Retail's proprietary retail consumer insight tools will be a powerful competitive advantage for our clients."

Staley served as vp of database marketing for Dallas-based Blockbuster, where he oversaw its rewards program—the retailer's third-largest source of revenue and the largest fee-based customer loyalty program in the world, according to Euro RSCG Retail.

Staley created a credit card customer loyalty product as vp and general manager at Wickersham Hunt. He's also worked to build loyal followings for other leading brands such as Lowe's, NationsBank, Reliant Energy, Nortel, American Airlines, Verizon, Bally's, Diners Club and Citicorp.

Euro RSCG Retail, based in the Dallas suburb of Plano, is part of Havas' Euro RSCG Worldwide network whose clients include Pizza Hut, Long John Silver's, Footlocker, Visa and Rent-a-Center.
