BOSTON Public relations shop Environics said it has appointed Dan Ginsburg svp, general manager of its office in Stamford, Conn.

He reports to Bruce MacLellan, agency president and CEO. The GM position in the shop’s 10-person Stamford office has been vacant for the past two years.

Ginsburg, 34, joins after six years as svp and director of the New York technology practice of Omnicom Group’s Porter Novelli, where he oversaw publicity efforts for companies such as Hewlett-Packard, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Reuters.
