CHICAGO United Airlines is considering adding Interpublic Group’s Draft here to handle some direct marketing duties, a company representative confirmed.

“We’re negotiating how and if we want to work with them,” said a representative for the Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based air carrier. “They’re being considered for future business.”

WPP Group’s Grey Direct in Chicago handles United’s direct marketing. An agency representative said the agency’s relationship with the client remained unchanged.

Grey won the estimated $50 million business in January 2003 after a review that included Draft and WPP Group’s OgilvyOne in Chicago.
