The judging has been completed for the 37th annual Francis W. Hatch Awards for excellence in New England advertising.
Eight judges awarded some 100 gold, silver or bronze bowls as well as about 100 merit certificates, roughly the same breakdown as last year, said Wendy Becker, managing director of Hatch and associate director of the Advertising Club of Greater Boston, which sponsors the show.
Total entries fell off slightly, to about 1,920 this year from 2,000 in 1996, Becker said.
The show takes place on Sept.
