Mike Doherty, who took over as svp/general manager of Cole & Weber’s Portland, Ore., office just over a year ago, has been named evp/managing director for both of the agency’s offices.
Doherty, 38, takes over duties previously handled by agency president Debby Kennedy.
Kennedy, 47, is leaving the Seattle-based agency at the end of this week to become president and CEO of an undisclosed company. After more than a decade at the agency, she said she couldn’t resist jumping on the startup bandwagon.
