CHICAGO Tom Denari has been named president of independent Young & Laramore in Indianapolis, replacing Paul Knapp, who becomes chief executive officer, according to the agency. The changes are effective Jan. 1.

Denari, 41, was previously executive vice president and a principal at Y&L, serving as chief strategist. He has worked at the agency for 15 years. In Denari’s new role, all agency department heads will report to him.

Knapp, 47, will turn his focus to overall growth at the agency and its media unit, EchoPoint Media.
