CHICAGO ConAgra Foods has named DDB San Francisco as the lead agency for its $15-20 million Banquet brand after a review of roster and nonroster shops, according to a company representative.
"We felt they were the best qualified to maximize the potential of [the Banquet] brand," said a representative for the Omaha, Neb., company. He would not identify contenders for the account.
The incumbent, Fogarty Klein Monroe in Houston, did not participate in the review.
ConAgra has been shifting assignments on some of its accounts in what the representative termed "a sharpened marketing focus." In January, the company tapped Fallon in Minneapolis to be lead agency on its $25 million snack food business.
