BOSTON Independent marketing agency Creative Partners said it has acquired Bronz Design Group.

Joel Bronz, 62, chief executive of Bronz Design, was named a Creative Partners vice president. He will be responsible for new business development and oversight of the department's creative product in the package design category.

Peter Schelfhaudt, chairman and CEO of 25-person Creative Partners, said, "The addition of Bronz Design to our team significantly increases our depth in package design, which is particularly important to big-name consumer brands. Joel's technical and design sense is renowned, and he has helped countless consumer brands over the years."

Bronz Design, formed in 1979, works for clients such as Colgate-Palmolive, Dannon and Unilever, among others. Joel Bronz also won acclaim for his design of the New York Mets logo in the early 1960s.

Both agencies are located in Stamford, Conn. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The shops would not say how many of Bronz Design's eight employees would move to Creative Partners.
