ATLANTA With the addition of a new partner, Coyne Beahm Marketing and Advertising has become Coyne Beahm Shouse, effective immediately.

The Greensboro, N.C., shop said that Douglas Shouse, formerly a marketing executive at RJ Reynolds, also in Greensboro, has been named president and chief operating officer. Roger Beahm, chief executive officer, said that all account management and creative teams will report directly to Shouse.

Patrick Coyne will assume the role of chief innovation officer, developing new creative products and media services for the agency. Coyne and Beahm will focus on winning new business, the shop added.

"We have developed a great relationship with Doug over the years as our client at RJ Reynolds," said Beahm. "He has the experience, knowledge and style that will help the company grow."

Shouse, who spent 20 years at RJ Reynolds, most recently managed the company's value brand portfolio, working on accounts such as Doral. He said that his goal as president and COO at CBS is helping it grow by bringing in new business.

"Our goalis to present ourselves as more than an agency and build a reputation as creative brand builders," said Shouse. "We want to grow and be more nationally-focused than in the past."

Coyne Beahm Shouse's current client list includes Lowe's Home Improvement, Lexington State Bank, Thomasville Furniture and Victory Junction Gang Camp. The agency reported billings of $47 million in 2003.
