The Nelco Companies, a professional employer organization, has named CreativeDepartment USA its agency of record.

The Hollywood, Fla.-based shop won the business—an estimated $1 million in annual billings—after an agency search that included an undisclosed number of Southeastern contenders.

Michael Rath, vice president of business development at Nelco, was impressed with marketing campaigns the agency had development for Cigna DentalCare in Hartford, Conn.

“We needed a well-defined brand and marketing program,” said Rath. “One based on comprehensive, targeted consumer research as well as a brand-based marketing strategy supporting the research results.”

The agency will perform strategic market research before developing print and collateral work to build and support the Nelco brand.

“We’ll interview key people and find out their vision of the company,” said Jann Sabin, agency president and creative director.
