DALLAS — 7-Eleven has visited five or six agencies in preparation for a further round of credentials and chemistry meetings in early December.

Sources said the contenders include GSD&M in Austin, Texas; the New York office of Deutsch; and Wieden + Kennnedy, New York; as well as The Richards Group, Dallas, which has handled some of the client’s work in the past. One or two additional agencies remained undisclosed. A representative of 7-Eleven declined comment on the process, but a source said that the client reached out to shops based on work they liked with a similar consumer target of 18- to 49-year-old males.
