TV Spots Tout Everyday Indulgences
CHICAGO–Campbell Mithun seeks to move Gardetto’s from a special occasion treat to an everyday pleasure in its first campaign for the General Mills snack line.
The light-hearted TV effort shows people celebrating with Gardetto’s the “small accomplishments that they set for themselves,” said Hank Champion, an art director at the Minneapolis shop.
“To everyone else, it’s not really a big deal; but to [them] it is,” Champion said of the characters. “These are the things that are important to them.”
In one of the spots, a young man sits in a doctor’s waiting room with the “Blue Danube” waltz playing in the background.
