NEW YORK Dan Morales, a 7-year veteran of Cliff Freeman and Partners who ascended to creative director of the shop, said he has resigned to join Taxi as creative director, effective May 9.

Morales, 35, was the No. 3 creative at the MDC Partners-owned New York shop behind founder Cliff Freeman and ecd Arthur Bijur. He will be the top-ranking creative at Taxi’s New York office.

“Here’s a guy who’s already successful in Canada and he wants to take on the United States,” Morales said of Taxi’s chairman, CCO Paul Lavoie.
