NEW YORK Clear Channel Outdoor's airports division announced Monday it had been awarded the advertising rights for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the Mineta San Jose International Airport in California. Both contracts are for 10 years.
As part of the contract, Clear Channel will provide a mix of ad inventory at each airport, including traditional backlit signs, banners, and wraps. New digital offerings are also under consideration.
"These additions to Clear Channel Airports' growing network expand our delivery to an affluent, hard-to-reach target audience," said Mike Riley, CCA president. "The elite, frequent flier demographic has high personal income, discretionary buying power and significant influence on business purchase decisions, which has contributed to the steadily increasing importance of airport advertising."
Ranked No. 18 and No. 40 in the country for flight volume, the Seattle-Tacoma and Mineta San Jose airports join Clear Channel's growing portfolio of some of the nation's busiest airports including Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International, Boston Logan, Chicago Midway, Chicago O'Hare International, Dallas Ft. Worth International, Denver International, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County, Minneapolis-St. Paul International, Philadelphia International, Phoenix Sky Harbor International and San Francisco International.
