LOS ANGELES Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark will air a special ad immediately after President George Bush’s State of the Union address this evening and again after the Democratic response, the campaign press office confirmed.

Called “SOTU”, the ad will air on WMUR, Manchester, N.H., and WBZ, Boston. The creative contrasts clips of President Bush in previous State of the Union addresses with contentions by Clark’s camp in split-screen titles opposite the picture. For example, as Bush says, “Our budget will run a deficit that will be small and short term,” the text reads, “The deficit has soared to a record $374 billion.”
