Northlich has promoted two executives in an effort to give CEO Mark Serrianne more time with top clients and to manage agency growth, the agency said.

Taking over as president of the Cincinnati shop is Rick Miller, 46, formerly director of integrated services. Jeff Dufresne, 43, formerly managing director, was named president of Brandstorm, the agency’s new product and marketing consultancy.

The promotions are meant to address a growing amount of work, primarily in the brand consulting arena, said Serrianne.

Both Miller and Dufresne will report to Serrianne.

Under the new structure, Serrianne will focus on clients and business development, while Miller and Dufresne will be more actively involved in day-to-day operations.

The agency, which claims revenue was up about 2 percent last year, hired 23 employees amid new assignments from Ashland, Calphalon, Cargill, Humana, Key Bank and Sara Lee, among others.
