CHICAGO Interpublic Group's Carmichael Lynch dominated the 2005 Minneapolis Show, winning best of show for an A.G. Edwards television spot and 66 total awards for its work.
The best of show award was for a television campaign for St. Louis-based A.G. Edwards, which depicts people taking care of giant eggs as a metaphor for their retirement accounts. The shop also won the only gold award in the interactive category for a Web site, BeastBlender.com, for the Rogue Taxidermy organization.
Twenty-five agencies won awards at the annual show, which is presented by the Minnesota Advertising Federation. Other top winners included Olson + Co., which took home 15 awards; Persicope and Hunt Adkins, with 14 each, and Gabriel deGrood Bendt and Martin/Williams, which each received 13 awards.
"It's important for Minneapolis to remain a creative destination," said Peter McHugh, CL chief creative officer and chairman of the show, in a statement. "So everything coming out of here needs to reflect a world-leading creative position."
