Anheuser-Busch has extended its “True” campaign for Budweiser with a pool of spots that tell humorous tales and focus on the drinker as much as the product.

Nine 30-second spots using the “True” tagline have been gradually slipped into rotation since the Super Bowl, said Bob Lachky, the St. Louis brewer’s vp of brand management and director of global brand creative. The tag originated two years ago with DDB’s award-winning “Whassup?” work.

Most of the new spots were created by DDB Chicago.
