AOL Investors Plan to Protest

Investors concerned about AOL Time Warner's failure to live up to expectations will protest at the board's annual meeting this Friday, a group of shareholders said in a statement last week. AOL is battling to regain credibility with investors as it looks to dig out from a $26 billion net debt and federal probes into its accounting practices, as well as slow growth. The meeting will be held at AOL's Dulles, Va., headquarters.

TNS Expands Brand and Advertising Unit

TNS, a Horsham, Pa.-based custom-research company, is extending its branding and advertising reach with the addition of Larry Mock, former president and CEO of The Council for Marketing & Opinion Research and vp of Procter & Gamble's Consumer and Market Knowledge Group Worldwide. Mock will serve as president of the newly expanded branding and advertising division, which will be part of TNS Intersearch in the U.S.
