The Milwaukee Brewers aren’t doing that well this year, mired as of last week in last place in the National League’s Central Division.
Nonetheless, the team’s done all right with Cream City ad agency Kohnke Hanneken. For the second year in the row, the shop’s ads on behalf of the Brewers grabbed the Best of Show prize at the Milwaukee Ad Club’s annual ad show.
It was one of 35 awards given Kohnke Hanneken, second only to BVK/McDonald’s 43.
The Milwaukee show has seen entries decline over the years, and two of the city’s larger shops, Cramer-Krasselt and Hoffman York, haven’t entered for several years.
Kohnke Hanneken’s winning spot showed Brewers manager Phil Garner and former pitching coach Don Rowe take over from a parking lot attendant at County Stadium who’s having trouble getting vehicles into the proper spaces.
