NEW YORK -- Bluestreak has acquired e-mail marketer e2 Communications, the online marketing technology company said this week. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The purchase of five-year-old, Dallas-based e2 bolsters Bluestreak's e-mail capabilities and adds 400 clients to its roster.
"E-mail marketing adds an important new capability that complements our corporate mission," said Peter Corrao, president and CEO of Bluestreak, who will continue to steer the newly merged Newport, Rhode Island-based operation. "Our strategy is to pursue acquisitions that add to our ability to deliver results, not just technology to our clients."
Bluestreak plans to maintain e2's Dallas office and consolidate both companies' London offices into one, said Annette Tonti, chief marketing officer and co-founder of Bluestreak.
As for layoffs as a result of the purchase, Tonti said, "If in the course of consolidation we find there are overlapping or redundant roles, resulting job losses will be kept to a minimum."
