Customer service is the focus of Gearon Hoffman’s first work for Compass Bank.

The effort introduces the tag line “Refreshingly positive.” The mostly monochromatic print ads use one color element—large yellow smiley faces—to under score the bank’s commitment to treating its customers with respect and civility.

One execution asks in its headline, “You’re a nice person. Shouldn’t you have a nice bank?” Copy continues: “We do all we can to deliver the banking products and services you need, without nickel and diming you with fees when you use them.
