NEW YORK Interpublic Group’s Deutsch said it has won an assignment from retailer Babies ‘R’ Us following a review of undisclosed agencies.

The process began in late February as a response to parent Toys R Us’ August announcement that it would separate ownership of its growing baby-store brand from its eroding toy operation [Adweek, Feb. 28]. WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam in New York handles the $120 million Toys R Us account. Babies R Us had no lead agency.
