Attik Adds Lustig as Scion Scribe

SAN FRANCISCO Creative shop Attik has hired former Mad Dogs & Englishmen copywriter Ariel Lustig to work on its Toyota Scion account, an agency representative said.

In the new position at the independent San Francisco shop, Lustig, 33, reports to Attik creative director Wayne Hanson, who came aboard in October.

Lustig arrives at Attik after a two-year stint at Mad Dogs, also in San Francisco, where she worked on Jamba Juice, TechTV, Maximum PC magazine and Cocoa Pete's, among other clients, the rep said. Her work for Maximum PC earned a 2003 One Show Merit Award.

She has already worked on a series of street-inspired radio spots for Scion, said Simon Needham, Attik's co-founder and global creative director.

"Ariel's passion for creativity, her intellect and her natural connection to an innovative mind-set makes her a natural fit for Attik," Needham said. "These qualities really shine through in her ability to focus a number of creative ideas into memorable copy time and time again. She's a cheeky, invigorating complement to our San Francisco team."

For her part, Lustig said, "For some reason, I keep getting hired by Brits."

Lustig studied advertising at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
