Ingalls Advertising had a hand in promoting last week's charity auction at the Four Seasons Hotel Ballroom in Boston.
The event featured a black velvet gown worn in 1985 by the late Diana, Princess of Wales. The garment was sold to an unidentified Florida bidder-believed to be Di memorabilia collector Maureen Rorech-for $200,000.
The item was donated by Barbara Jordan, owner of Bjoux, a boutique on Newbury Street in Boston. Jordan had purchased the gown for $36,000 earlier this year.
The money comes as a windfall for Community Servings, a Boston-based organization that provides hot meals to homebound AIDS and HIV sufferers.
Ingalls One to One Marketing created ads to promote the auction. Ingalls Public Relations generated press coverage in local, national and international media. Both divisions regularly donate their services to Community Servings.
