NEW YORK The American Legacy Foundation’s “Truth” campaign from Arnold and Crispin Porter + Bogusky shared the Grand Effie at the New York American Marketing Association’s 2003 Effie Awards 35th anniversary gala on Wednesday night.

TBWA\Chiat\Day’s “Austin” campaign for Embassy Suites Hotels, which shows the hotel from the point of view of a young boy named Austin, was the other Grand Effie winner.

Boston-based Arnold, a unit of Havas, and CP+B, backed by Maxxcom, have teamed for Legacy’s national anti-smoking campaign since 1999 and successfully defended the business in a review that concluded last month.
