Arnold Worldwide has established a presence in the Pacfic Rim by acquiring Brandhouse Hale Leonardi, an agency with offices in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, Arnold said Thursday.

The agency will be renamed Brandhouse Arnold Worldwide and will operate under current management.

Terms were not disclosed.

Brandhouse, with about $25 million in billings, counts among its clients Epson, Quattro, People Telecom, Schweppes, BRW Media and Ricoh.

Brandhouse gives Arnold, Boston, a strong Asia-Pacific outpost and "the capacity to make a difference to our new global offering," said Ed Eskandarian, chairman and CEO of Arnold Worldwide.

Brandhouse, in turn, gains access to the resources of Arnold and its Parisian parent company, Havas Advertising, said Andrew Vidor, Brandhouse managing partner.

Less than a week ago, Havas moved its 300-person Jordan McGrath Case & Partners/Euro RSCG, New York, into Arnold's global network [Adweek, Mar. 5] and out of its Euro RSCG Worldwide network.
