NEW YORK America Online has tapped Lisa Brown to assume the duties of interactive marketing president Robert Sherman, who left the company last week after less that a year.

Brown, who joined the Dulles, Va.-based AOL Time Warner Internet unit last November as executive vice president of marketing, strategy and solutions, will assume the title of evp of interactive marketing. In the post, she will oversee ad sales for the company and will report to AOL vice chairman Ted Leonsis.
