CHICAGO Andersen Windows has tapped independent agency Gabriel deGrood Bendt to handle a creative project after a review, the company has confirmed.
A client reprepresentative would not disclose the scope of the assignment. Andersen spent about $30 million on advertising last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
The Minneapolis agency has been initially tasked to create a national brand campaign for the Bayport, Minn., company, according to the Andersen rep, though sources expected the project to develop into a long-term relationship.
"We couldn't be more excited about this opportunity," said GdB founder and CEO Tom Gabriel, in a statement. "Eight years ago, when we started this company, Andersen was at the top of our 'most wanted' list. The brand has a wonderful history and future, and the marketing team is committed to great work."
Creative has been handled by Interpublic Group's Campbell Mithun in Minneapolis, which has held the account since the 1930s. The agency will continue to handle the media duties on the account, the rep said.
Officials at Campbell Mithun did not immediately return calls. Contenders in the review were not disclosed.
