Pyro Brand Development has won the estimated $10 million account of hotel and gaming chain Ameristar Casinos.
Las Vegas-based Ameristar tapped Pyro in Dallas following a national search. Other contenders were not disclosed. Previously, the agency of record was Goldberg Moser O’Neill in San Francisco. GMO said it parted ways with the client over financial issues.
Pyro principal John Beitter said his shop was initially asked to pitch for one of Ameristar’s properties, The Reserve, in Las Vegas.
“We were surprised to have been awarded all the marketing communications for all their properties,” Beitter told Adweek.
