CHICAGO McDonald’s has named Ralph Alvarez president of its North American operations as part of several management changes. Alvarez was previously president of McDonald’s USA.

In his new post, Alvarez will have oversight over the Oak Brook, Ill., company’s U.S. and Canadian operations.

Elsewhere, the company promoted Tim Fenton to president of Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Fenton, who was president of the East division of McDonald’s USA, replaces Marvin Whaley, who is retiring from the company.
