LOS ANGELES As part of a monthlong campaign to defeat two proposed gambling-expansion initiatives, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, political consultant Don Sipple and independent agency the Cimarron Group have created an “anti Props 68 and 70” television commercial, to be run heavily through Election Day.

In the 30-second spot, which broke Thursday, the Republican governor takes advantage of his Hollywood-groomed, unflinching-hero image. “Allow me to negotiate a fair share,” he urges viewers. Encouraging citizens to vote against the gambling initiatives, the governor concludes his dramatic plea with the statement, “Vote no on props 68 and 70.
