NEW YORK Agent 16 has named Paul Levine, a former top executive at Bates and Mad Dogs & Englishmen, to the new position of president.

Levine, 47, assumes the role after a year as chief operating officer at the New York independent. Agent 16’s clients include Reynolds American, Nestea Chilled and HP Hood.

“Paul is bringing an entrepreneurial spirit to the agency that’s reinvigorating our commitment to creative excellence in our advertising product and in the way we think about business opportunities,” said chairman Bill Brown, to whom Levine reports.
