NEW YORK





Twinlab Corp. has consolidated its ad account at Hanft Byrne Raboy Abrams & Partners in New York. The move ends Twinlab's 14-year relationship with Greenstone Roberts by mutual agreement. With the additional $2 million in business, HBRA now handles $12 million in billings from the client.





Greenstone Roberts, Melville, was selected by Fidelis Care New York, a healthcare provider, to develop marketing communications. Initial capitalized billings are estimated at $2 million.





The New York and Washington, D.C., offices of Porter Novelli were named public relations counsel for The Dannon Co. The assignment includes marketing communications and special event support.





Ruder Finn, New York, was retained by Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) as public relations agency. SEMI chose Ruder Finn over six undisclosed agencies to manage a five-year global assignment.





Astra Merck has chosen Ketchum Public Relations' healthcare practice in New York to provide support for Atacand, a new anti-hypertensive drug.





Harrison & Star Advertising, New York, was awarded two new product advertising and promotional assignments from Gilead Sciences.





Andrew Jarchin has established The Jarchin Group, an advertising, marketing and media communications company in Plainview.





Bozell Sawyer Miller Group, New York, was hired by Royal Caribbean International to secure consumer and business media coverage for last month's New York maiden arrival of the cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas.





Teleglobe International Corp. has contracted LLT Advertising, New York, to help introduce its first consumer effort, an international calling service. A marketing campaign initially targeting Chinese, Korean and Russian customers was launched in New York last month.





Favale/Danzig Creative Solutions, New York, has been formed by Joe Favale and Jerry Danzig, former creative directors at Ketchum Direct in New York. The new agency will specialize in direct response copy and design in all media.





Global Community Digital Sandbox, a videoconferencing and event space in New York, has hired LPNYTHink, also in New York, as its creative agency.





CONNECTICUT





Block & Nardizzi, a promotion marketing agency in Stamford with an office in Atlanta, has changed its name to BEN Marketing Group. The new identity reflects the firm's reorganization into three divisions: BEN Promotion, BEN Direct and BEN Sports Marketing.





Phil La Borie has founded Phil La Borie Creative Services in Norwalk. Formerly associate creative director at the Norwalk-based Atlantic Group, La Borie is allied with Flagg, Brothers, a corporate communications and design group, also located in Norwalk.





NEW JERSEY





Olden Paint and Carpet, Trenton, and its 11 Carpet Factory Outlet stores in New Jersey have named Wenzel & Co., Pennington, agency of record. In addition to advertising and public relations, Wenzel will expand the client's direct mail and sales promotion programs. Casserta & Associates, Mount Laurel, previously handled the estimated $2 million account.





PENNSYLVANIA





HFS Inc.'s Knights Inn hotel chain awarded its national ad account to Musselman Advertising in Allentown.
