BioSensory of Willimantic has chosen Keiler & Co., Farmington, to expand the client's existing Web site and provide public relations services. The company designs and manufactures mosquito control devices, including Dragonfly, which emits CO2 and octenol to attract and destroy the pests, and Mosquito Cognito, which inhibits a mosquito's scent tracking ability, rendering them unable to recognize human targets.
Lang/Durham & Co., West Hartford, has landed the Hyatt Regency Newport & Newport Spa, located on Goat Island in Newport. The property recently changed hands from Doubletree to Hyatt. Lang/Durham will develop a print campaign touting the property's two restaurants and off-site catering service, Regency Catering. An effort for the spa, including radio, print and billboard ads, will roll out this fall.
Moving Pictures Video & Film, Glastonbury, and KGA Advertising, Middletown, have teamed up to produce a 30-second public service announcement for the Rushford Center, Middletown, which is dedicated to reducing substance abuse by providing prevention and treatment. The spot takes the form of a series of vignettes showing loving parents helping their children, contrasted with late-night footage of a decrepit bridge where a group of pre-teens are hanging out.

Mogall.com, an Internet company being developed by former WCVB-TV anchor Brian Leary and software entrepreneur Jon Cullinane, has tapped Morrissey & Co., Boston, for public relations chores and Connelly Partners, also of Boston, for advertising services.
Media Boston International, Boston, has been retained by personal-computer company Gateway to manage all of the firm's consumer public relations activities in the greater Boston area.
The emerging business practice at The Weber Group, Cambridge, has added the public relations accounts of AuthenTec, Melbourne, Fla., and Visible Markets, Boston. AuthenTec is a provider of personal security and identification technology. Visible Markets is an auction marketplace for fixed-income securities, including mortgage and asset-backed securities. The agency has also added the Adrenaline Group, Washington, D.C., in its Arlington, Va., office.
Philip Johnson Associates, the high-tech agency in Cambridge, is now breaking a new national print effort for Infinium Software, Hyannis, Mass., again using the "Do great work" tagline that made its debut last year. The ads are running primarily in BusinessWeek and similar magazines, targeting movers and shakers with the authority to make software purchases. One ad shows a power-suited corporate type giving himself a haircut. The headline asks, "Are you also managing your own business software?" Text continues: "Take your eyes off the ball these days and you're headed for trouble. To take technology hassles out of your hair, Infinium offers a comprehensive suite of business software and analytical tools."
Three local public relations shops are teaming up to promote a nonprofit fundraiser featuring comedian Paula Poundstone. A-List Productions, Brookline, Dennehy Public Relations, Medway, and Stimpson Communications, Wayland, are working together on the June 10 event to be held at the Copley Theater, Boston.
A-List and Dennehey are managing event planning, with Stimpson working on media relations and publicity. Proceeds will benefit Wayside Youth & Family Support Network, a Framingham-based human-services agency serving eastern and central Massachusetts.
Ciavarra Design, Boston, has been hired by The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston to create a national brand image campaign and catalog.
Hatmaker, Watertown, has been retained by Cinemax for vignette promo packages for three different movie genres set to air on Cinemax and its sister cable station MoreMax. Hatmaker's new packages for Cinemax include promo packages for the franchises "Vanguard Nights", "Classics at 4" and "Choice at 9" on MoreMax and the "Cinemax Vanguard" series airing on Cinemax. Hatmaker has also created spots promoting the "ActionMax" and "ThrillerMax" offerings ViewPoint Studios, Needham, has produced a series of network identification spots for the Home & Garden Network. Spring is a central theme, and outdoor images--blooming flowers and legions of butterflies--are combined with indoor visuals, such as ceramic tiles and window drapes.
Video Transfer has moved to a new facility at 580 Harrison Ave., Boston.
Sterling Hager, Watertown, has added five high-technology clients to its roster. The public relations firm will be assisting Reliable Software Technologies, Dulles, Va., which offers methodologies for the manufacture of safe and reliable software; ViryaNet, Waltham, which makes business-to-business solutions; Percussion Software, Stoneham, which delivers packages for applications development and administrations; Seattle Systems, Oakland, Calif., a provider of Web-based cardiovascular and diabetes information management systems; and IPeria, Wakefield, which markets products to telecommunications concerns.

Im-aj Communications & Design, West Kingston, R.I., has been tapped for a quartet of marcomm projects. FM Global, a world leader in risk management insurance, has hired the firm to design the client's employee newsletter. College Access Alliance of Rhode Island, which collects and disseminates information for students and parents, has hired Im-aj for a public awareness push targeting middle school and high school students, encouraging them to seek higher education. The agency is developing three commercials and a Web site. For Elderhostel, which has a 25-year track record of providing educational adventures for older adults, Im-aj is developing a logo and fundraising kit.
Project Image, a nonprofit group dedicating to improving the lives of needy people in local communities, has tapped Im-aj for media relations, print and broadcast advertising and related materials.
JVR Communications, East Providence, has been named public relations agency of record for DGNOnline, New York. JVR will help position the client as the Internet portal community of choice for the graphic arts, printing and publishing industries, concentrating on TeamProof, a Web-based solution that allows up to 16 graphic-arts professionals to view, annotate and edit a document in real time.
