"GEORGIA
Hood & Associates of Atlanta has won two new technology accounts. Optio Software and Ashford International, both Atlanta, have hired the agency to handle a branding campaign and an on-call service, respectively. Hood has also launched a new campaign for Lockheed Georgia Employees Federal Credit Union.
The Creative Circus in Atlanta won a gold award at the 1999 Andy competition, sponsored by the Advertising Club of New York. This is the third time in the ad school's four years of existence it has won an Andy gold. The winning ad was created by copywriter Brad Moslow and art director Julie Eyerman.
Jackson Spalding, an Atlanta communications management firm, has added the following clients: The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta; Airis Corp; Habif, Arogeti & Wayne; Mirror Lake; and Avon Running. All accounts are located in the metropolitan Atlanta area.
The Headline Group of Atlanta has added two new clients. Melisma Records has retained the agency to manage national public and media relations. Folio Z, a technology marketing firm, has hired the shop for a media relations program. Both clients are based in Atlanta.

Lyerly Agency of Charlotte has been hired to handle public relations and communications services for Concord Mills, a shopping mall in Concord.
Z Promotion & Design in Chapel Hill has developed a Web site for the Mothers' Milk Bank in Austin, Texas. It also designed a logo for the Winn-Dixie Super Star Summer at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre, Raleigh.

The Gillespie Agency has successfully defended the account of Southeastern Freight Lines. Both are based in Columbia.

Health Communications of Memphis has landed assignments from: ScienceBased Health, a physician-driven wellness center in San Francisco; Ophthalmic Innovations International, Claremont, Calif.; Sunrise Technologies, Fremont, Calif.; Ortho McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Raritan, N.J.; Avalon Medical Corp., Williston, Vt.; Cynosure, Chelmsford, Mass.; and Virtua Health, a network of five New Jersey hospitals.
David Bohan, president and chief executive of Nashville's Bohan Carden & Cherry, was one of the 10 most influential advertising and public relations executives for 1999 in a survey of more than 250 industry professionals by Business Nashville.
