ATLANTA–Crispin Porter & Bogusky has essentially traded players with Arnold Communications and Mullen, hiring a top account planner from one agency and losing a key creative to the other.
Tom Birk has joined CP&B as vp, director of account planning from Arnold in Boston, replacing the
Miami shop’s Jennifer Urich, who left earlier this year to freelance. Chairman Chuck Porter said Birk is its first vp hired from outside the agency.
“There’s some pressure, but I wanted to come down here and be part of this talent pool,” said Birk, who joined Arnold three years ago when the agency acquired Houston Hersteck Favat, where he was a partner.
