FORT WORTH – Radio Shack threw massive volumes of information – including a 1,000-page primer on the company – at contenders during briefings last week as it reviews outside agencies for the first time. Nine contenders were told new president Leonard Roberts is very serious about making over Tandy Corp.’s giant electronics retail chain, and that could mean a budget of more than $100 million. The final contenders that participated in the briefings were Tracy-Locke/DDB Needham and The Richards Group, both Dallas; GSD&M, Austin; Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, CME-KHBB/New York and Houston; Ogilvy & Mather South, Atlanta and Houston; Wells Rich Greene BDDP and DMB&B, both New York; and W.B.
