BOSTON Alliance Data Systems said it has reached an agreement to acquire e-mail marketing services provider DoubleClick Email Solutions in a $90 million cash deal.
With operations across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, DoubleClick Email Solutions has approximately 220 full-time employees, who will be integrated into Alliance's Burlington, Mass.-based Epsilon unit under the Epsilon Interactive brand.
The acquisition by Dallas-based Alliance is expected to close before the end of the first-quarter 2006.

New York-baed DoubleClick Email Solutions, with estimated annual revenue of $40 million, has a strong presence in the retail sector (clients include J. Crew, Buy.com and Patagonia), travel sector (Intercontinental Hotel Group and Orbitz), consumer product goods (Unilever and Procter & Gamble) and media and publishing (AOL, Meredith, Reed Business and CondeNet).
