NEW YORK Interpublic Group’s Deutsch has won creative chores on Pier 1’s ad account following a review, according to sources.

Omnicom Group’s OMD in Chicago won Pier 1’s media assignment in a separate review over New York shops Initiative, an IPG agency, and Mindshare, a unit of WPP Group.

Estimated billings are $60 million.

In the creative competition, New York-based Deutsch bested Publicis Groupe shops Fallon in New York and Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco, as well as independents Laird + Partners in New York and The Loomis Agency in Dallas.
