LOS ANGELES-PlanetOutdoors. com, a startup e-commerce site specializing in outdoor recreation equipment and apparel, has narrowed its search to seven agencies for its $3 million account, according to Larry Weisberg, the Boulder, Colo., consultant conducting the review.
The semifinalists are: Borders, Perrin and Norrander, Portland, Ore.; Butler, Shine & Stern, Sausalito, Calif.; Ground Zero, Santa Monica, Calif.; Carmichael Lynch, Martin/Williams and Periscope, all Minneapolis; and Crispin Porter & Bogusky Advertising, Miami.
The Boulder-based company will further review the agencies’ credentials before cutting the list to two or three finalists, with a decision by July 1, Weisberg said.
