Lane Advertising and Mason & Madison have announced changes in the executive ranks of their media departments.
Lane Advertising in Marblehead, Mass., last week named Marybeth Maercklein media director. She previously served as a media supervisor at Arnold Communications in Boston, where most recently she worked on the Volkswagen of America account. Prior to that, she serviced McDonald's Corp. Maercklein replaces Karen Bisegna, who left Lane Advertising for personal reasons.
Maercklein has been replaced at Arnold by Michael Buckley, who was promoted from planner to supervisor on Volkswagen.
Lane Advertising also plans to move its headquarters, according to agency official Penny Schuler. Later this spring, the six-person shop will relocate to renovated office space in Salem, Mass., Schuler said. Lane's client list includes Franklin Sports and Nature's Heartland.
Separately, Mason & Madison officials confirmed that Robin Donovan will leave her position as media director at the New Haven, Conn., shop to become media director at Barry Blau & Partners in Wilton, Conn.
Donovan was with Mason & Madison for the past 13 years. A successor has not been named, said agency representative Fran Onofrio, who added that the shop is actively searching.
"Robin was a great asset. She was aggressive and very strong at strategic planning, but she's been here for a number of years and has another opportunity," Onofrio said.
Mason & Madison last month named Mary Gatzemeyer creative director. She previously served as senior vice president and creative director at Ketchum Advertising, where she worked on the Nationwide Insurance and Heinz USA accounts.
Mason & Madison counts Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile, Yankee Energy Systems, Emhart Automotive and Loctite Corp. among its clients.
