2 Clients Enlist Greenough for PR Chores

BOSTON Greenough Communications has been tapped for public relations chores by a pair of Web sites: Register.com and Reunion.com.

Greenough won Register.com after a review of undisclosed contenders; Reunion.com was acquired without a review. Spending was not disclosed for the accounts.

The agency is tasked mainly with handling media relations chores for Register.com, a provider of global domain name registration services, and with boosting memberships for Reunion.com, a social networking site.

"With the number of people joining online social networking communities escalating every day, we needed to find a firm that could best communicate our clear market differentiation in such a competitive marketplace," said Jeff Tinsley, founder and CEO of Reunion.com, in a statement. "We are confident that Greenough's ability to create multi-level narratives will help us not only strengthen our position as the leader in helping people stay in touch online, but also increase our membership rates."

The wins are important because both clients "are market leaders in their respective categories, and we're excited about the opportunity to help them build their brands and reputations through our unique approach to business storytelling," said agency president Phil Greenough.

Greenough's client roster includes Thermo Electron and Connected Corp. The shop is headquartered in Boston and has an outpost in San Francisco.
