Burton-Campbell, at one time the heavyweight champion of the Atlanta advertising community, is seeking out alums 10 years after the agency's name disappeared from the local landscape. The reason? A reunion, of course.
The agency sold out 10 years ago to Bethesda, Md.-based Earle Palmer Brown, which later closed its office in Atlanta.
Ron Scharbo, who ran Burton-Campbell in its heyday and now operates Scharbo & Co. in Atlanta, said he has been in touch with several former co-workers. Scharbo added that he's trying to cast the net wider for those who have scattered to the winds over the last decade.
The party is this Thursday at Match, an agency co-founded by B.A. Albert, who logged time in the creative department of Burton-Campbell.
For more information on the party, or just to get in touch with some old friends, ex-Burton-Campbell staffers can call Pat Moslow at (404) 876-5201 or Sarah Scharbo at (770) 431-8912.
