After working at production companies and ad agencies, partners Matt McLaughlin and Andrew Simkiss started Acres in 2013. Focused on digital video for nonprofits and political campaigns, one of the studio's first projects was a series of online videos for the winning campaign of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio. With work for Airbnb, Motorola and the American Civil Liberties Union under its belt, Acres now has its sights set on the entertainment industry.
