Wunderman has named a new president for its New York headquarters, as previous office chief Becky Chidester assumes a new role.

The new president is David Shulman, former chief digital officer at fellow WPP Group shop Enfatico in New York. Before Enfatico, Shulman spent nine years at Publicis Groupe's Digitas, the last two as managing director of the agency's Detroit office.

At Wunderman, Shulman, 41, will lead a staff of 270 and report to worldwide chief operating officer David Sable. The office's top clients include Citi, Nokia, Dell, Kimberly-Clark, Diageo and Land Rover.

Chidester, 51, had led New York since 2007. Before that, she was chief operating officer. In her new role as president of Wunderman World Health, Chidester will tout the shop's work for clients in the healthcare sector, including Pfizer, WellPoint, Johnson & Johnson and Abbott Labs. But rather than create a separate unit, Chidester will oversee talent already working on such clients at Wunderman and subsidiaries like KnowledgeBase Marketing and RTCRM, according to an agency representative.

"Our goal is to diversify Wunderman's already strong U.S credentials and expand our healthcare business across all regions," said Chidester, who will be based in Washington, D.C., and report to worldwide CEO Daniel Morel.
