DALLAS Interpublic Group's TM Advertising has been named Verizon SuperPages.com's advertising agency after a review, the shop said.
TM in Irving, Texas, will handle online and traditional advertising as well as media planning and buying, the agency said.
"TM's creative strength and passion for our brand were evident," said Eric Chandler, vice president of marketing for Verizon SuperPages.com. "We're also impressed with its brand-building capabilities and online marketing success for other clients."
The agency said its first assignment would involve positioning SuperPages.com as a unique entity within Verizon and promote it as a premier resource for finding, shopping for, bidding on and buying products and services.
Annual billings were not disclosed. SuperPages.com spent $500,000 on advertising in 2003 and more than $1 million through October 2004, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
SuperPages.com receives more than 12 million unique visitors and more than 115 million searches per month, the company said.
Based in the Dallas area, Verizon Information Services is a content provider for communications products and services, with approximately $4.1 billion in revenue. The company produces the Verizon SuperPages print directory and its online counterpart, SuperPages.com.
